Everlasting Father,
Counsellor most wonderful,
Mighty God and Prince of peace.

And the government shall be firm
Upon his shoulder.
He shall rule with righteousness.
Truth and justice shall prevail.

Joy to you, I say, rejoice,
For the Lord is very near.
In the desert make a way
