Lord my friend, you're present to me.

You're my life, my strength, O my God.

In the midst of much affliction,

When I'm feeling lost and helpless.

In the days of painful crises,

When my heart is sad and lonely.

When I'm guilty of offences,

When assailed by strong temptations.

In the happy hours of sunshine,

When my mind is in high spirits.
